What do you anchor to when the channel goes quiet? Mission 02 of Resilience Protocol confronts one of the hardest experiences in the life of faith: seasons when the answers seem absent even though God has not abandoned His people. Fleet Commander Brandon's briefing draws a line between the silence of abandonment and the silence of a season, and the question behind the whole mission is where you stand while you try to tell the difference.
In this After-Action Report, Erin and Patrick unpack the briefing's four movements: why silence is often a feature of the process rather than evidence of absence, what it means to anchor in God's character instead of the feeling of being heard, the temptation to manufacture your own noise when the comms go quiet, and what it looks like to trust an unseen transmission. Along the way they work through Job's search in every direction, Jeremiah's covenant claim from the rubble of Jerusalem, Judah's Egypt shopping, and Abraham's decades of quiet.
The discussion presses on a tension worth sitting with: silence feels identical whether God is absent or working, and you can't tell the difference by sensation. So what holds when feelings fail? And is stillness genuine trust, or just giving up with extra steps?

Erin Dunn and Patrick Nash are virtual hosts--AI-assisted personas created by Power Up Church for The Debrief. Every Mission Briefing they review is delivered by Fleet Commander Brandon Holm, a real, ordained minister. The theology on this show comes from Scripture and the teaching ministry of real people; Erin and Patrick are the medium, not the source.
The Debrief is the new callsign for the podcast formerly known as The Ready Room Broadcast. Same crew, same after-action reports, clearer channel.
